SCI started on social media to address the isolation and hopelessness caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Through prayers and acts of kindness, SCI built a virtual community from the ground up. The online presence grew from 46 women to touching the lives of nearly 8,000 women, with a virtual message of encouragement and spiritual growth through a Facebook program called the “Nudge.” As an organization, SCI has a worldwide online network of women focused on empowering each other to grow professionally, personally, and spiritually. Organized group games with after-school counselors, devotion, sports, playground and outdoor time, and STEM enrichment activities are offered, as well as healthy snacks, and scheduled homework/study/reading time will be implemented.
